Yea, I'm diggin riding it now. I used to talk all kinds of shit on road bikes but they are way less abusive than running. Totally different feel than any other bike too which makes it fun.My friend has a giant road bike. Its real nice.
Road biking pwns running any day. I want to get one real bad now, since I live in a place with enough streets to ride it.

Are road bike handlebars really that great? I figured they would be good if I were riding a lot of flat land high speed stuff with other riders. My bike shop guy said you can reduce wind resistance by 30% with them but for what I'm doing it probably wouldn't really be that beneficial.
I'm doing mainly around neighborhood riding. Quite a bit of stuff is terrain so I'm thinking the road style bars wouldn't be that beneficial, hence why I was cool with the flat bars.
The Giant Rapid is considered a "fitness" bike opposed to a "road race" bike, however the other Giant "road race" bike he had in the shop had nearly the same components less the bars so I figured I could always change them out if I didn't like them.
Sweet deal on the link, I haven't done much research on them, bought it spur of the moment wanting to get back into shape.
